Hulu + Live TV television pricing

You can cancel your Hulu + Live TV subscription entirely, pause for up to 12 weeks, or change to a different Hulu plan by accessing your Hulu account on a web browser. You can choose to cancel immediately or have your subscription stay active until the end of your billing cycle. Just follow the prompts, and you should be done in a few clicks. You can reactivate later if you use the same login credentials.

If you pay for Hulu another way, such as through Apple or Spotify, you will need to cancel through that platform. The written instructions in Hulu’s help documentation can point you in the right direction.

Hulu stands out from the competition by having several subscription options to choose from. You can get streaming-only plans with or without ads, and Hulu + Live TV with or without ads. With both of the live TV options, Disney+ and ESPN+ come standard. There’s also a Live TV-only option, but you’ll save just $1 per month compared to the with-ads bundle and lose access to all the streaming content, so we don’t recommend it.

Premium add-ons include Cinemax, STARZ, HBO Max, and SHOWTIME. Live TV add-ons are also an option. These include Entertainment, Sports, Español, and unlimited screens.

Most of the add-ons are a good deal, but we hesitate to recommend the Español option. Hulu + Live TV doesn’t have a lot of Spanish-language channels to begin with, and the add-on doesn’t fill the gap. We like the Sports add-on, and the company claims you can watch every game, but that’s not entirely true. Like with most TV providers, regional blackouts can lock you out. DIRECTV STREAM offers more regional sports networks, and YouTube TV offers better options in Spanish.

Hulu + Live TV worked pretty well on every device we tested, including a Samsung smart TV, an Apple TV, a few versions of Google Chromecast, and multiple web browsers and mobile devices. The company also publishes apps for the following streaming devices:

Hulu + Live TV no longer offers free trials for live TV, but it is possible to get free trials for the streaming library alone. If you decide to cancel, you will have access to your services until the end of the next pay period. You can also pause your subscription for up to 12 weeks.
