Whether Frontier is a good deal depends on whether you’re in a fiber market or not. If you are, the plans are priced competitively, especially for the speeds you get. You can’t go wrong with any of the fiber plans. For everyone else, Frontier’s prices aren’t terrible, but they’re not as competitive, and we recommend you shop around before making a decision.

Switching to Frontier is simple enough. There are no contracts to sign, regardless of the plan or type of service you choose (fiber or DSL). This is a rarity among internet providers, and we’d definitely like to see it more! You can also opt for a self-install kit if you prefer the DIY approach.
You also get free installation if you get a fiber plan, which is a huge perk! New DSL customers may still see a fairly hefty $85 activation fee on their internet bills, but we recommend contacting customer service to negotiate.
Canceling your Frontier service is about as easy as it gets. There are no contracts or service agreements, and thus no early termination fees to worry about. In some cases, there may be a $20 equipment restock fee for fiber equipment and a $50 restocking fee on DSL equipment.
You'll have to talk to a live human to cancel, but you can either wait on hold or schedule a call. The rep is likely to try to talk you into staying, but once you confirm cancelation, they will give you information about how to return your rented gear.
