Is Buckeye Broadband worth the cost?
The lower-tier Buckeye plans are a pretty good deal (provided you don’t need anything faster). Unfortunately, the higher-tier packages quickly become too expensive for the speed offered, and we have a hard time recommending them if there are reasonable alternatives available.

Switching to Buckeye Broadband?
Switching to Buckeye is simple. The initial costs are some of the lowest of any provider we’ve seen. There’s no installation fee for most plans and promotions, and on the rare occasion there is, it’s only $10. The starting prices for packages are exceptionally low. Finally, there are no activation fees, which have become increasingly common with other internet providers. That makes getting started with Buckeye a piece of cake.

Canceling Buckeye Broadband services?
Canceling Buckeye Broadband is unfortunately more difficult than we’d like. The provider is still stuck on requiring a contract for some services, and the early termination fee is steep: $25 for each month remaining on the contract. Contract lengths vary from plan to plan and can be anywhere from 6–36 months, so pay attention to that when you sign up for service.
Negotiating tip: Most providers will bend over backward to retain you as a customer. Before canceling, try calling in and asking for a better rate.
